Good day! Here is the latest update on the status of Assist Project.
Our schools have changed a bit as some coaches and/or athletic directors have changed positions at their schools, or no longer hold position, and it has yet to be confirmed if their schools are still participating. Here is the confirmed updated school list.
Los Alamitos
Valley Christian
King Drew
Leuzinger
Poly High
Carson
South East Gate
Washington Prep
Da Vinci Schools
Westbrook Academy
We are still in need of complete funding that will be directed to: develop the app that student participants will use to log their service hours, offer incentives such as scholarships for student participants, cover business expenses and marketing, and hire staff.
Assist Project has interest from pro/retired basketball players such as James Worthy and Klay Thompson, as they have both expressed the likability of what Assist can/will 😉 achieve. However, Assist Project is truly in need of an inspiring role model at the professional level who will publicly speak on our mission to gain potential partnerships/sponsorships/additional funding. This will happen; we just have to continue and not give up.
I will be applying for a grant through LA2050. https://la2050.org This is a great initiative that connects applicants to donors for specific areas striving to improve our city. This will give Assist the opportunity to get funding and hopefully put Assist Project on their platform for more of the community to know that Assist Project exists!
That's all for now!
Blessings! ✨
